  Benson Beltings Ltd. is committed to protecting the health, safety and welfare of its employees, and to protecting the health and safety of all customers and any other visitors to the premises. The company will exercise a duty of care and due diligence in so doing and will take all reasonable and practicable steps to prevent injury to any person, damage to any property and to control any foreseeable hazards which may arise during the execution of its business.

Employees are responsible for their own safety as well as that of colleagues, customers and visitors to the premises.

The Company has a responsibility to: -
  • Inform all employees of their responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other relevant legislation.
  • Provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions.
  • Train and instruct employees to enable them to carry out their duties safely and efficiently.
  • Provide, instruct and supervise employees in the use of any safety equipment or safe working method needed to carry out a specific task.
  • Inform and consult employees of any changes in health and safety legislation.
  • Carry out risk assessment, in line with Health and Safety Executive guidelines, record findings and the arrangements for health and safety, communicating these to employees.
  • Provide personal protective equipment as required.
Employees have a duty to:
  • Be responsible for their health and safety and that of their fellow employees.
  • Co-operate with managers and supervisors in accordance with the company health and safety policy.
  • Observe all health, safety and hygiene rules and not operate electrical and mechanical equipment unless trained, and always in accordance with the manufacturers instructions.
  • Use all personal protective equipment supplied by the company.
  • Report any accidents or defects that have or may lead to injury or damage and cease work immediately where any danger exists.
This policy will be reviewed at least annually and updated as appropriate and will be brought to the attention of all staff.

  The Environmental Policy of Benson Beltings Ltd. is to ensure that all Environmental requirements are taken into account as a factor in our Quality performance, by targeting the following orientations to meet environment concerns.
  • Wherever possible to re-use items such as packaging materials.
  • To recycle wherever possible items such as printer cartridges, cans, paper & plastics.
  • The use of raw materials which cause as little environmental damage as possible.
  • The control of emissions from our production processes.
  • The production of long lasting end products.
  • The appropriate disposal of products after use with minimal environmental impact.
  • Compliance with WEEE directives regarding electrical equipment.
  • The adherence to all relevant environmental legislative requirements.
  • The control of all applicable Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • The setting of sustainable environmental targets with respect to waste produced.
  • The training of all personnel to ensure objectives are met and maintained.
Benson Beltings attach great importance to their environmental policy and accept their responsibilities by continually monitoring all aspects of their operations that could have even a minimal impact on the environment and as far as is reasonably practical, eliminating any such operations so identified.

  PRODUCTS OFFERED/SUPPLIED:

Supply, servicing and installation of process, conveyor and drive belts and all associated products.

QUALITY SYSTEMS:

We do not have ISO accreditation but confirm that we operate a documented quality system that incorporates inspection at all stages, from incoming raw materials through to final despatch. Our system provides for full traceability throughout manufacture. Our staff are experienced and fully trained in all aspects of belting manufacture. Training is periodically up-dated and we audit our system and suppliers on a regular basis.
